If you’re looking to work with a change of scenery and a new outlook on life, why not go on a working holiday somewhere you can do just that?

Canada has been voted the second most beautiful country in the world and is definitely the kind of place you can enjoy your job and explore the picturesque scenery around you, whether that’s while you work or on your days off!

Niagara Falls

The first thing I would recommend doing if you are looking for a classic but very much worth-it way of getting to know the kind of life you can live in Canada, would be to head on over to Niagara Falls.

One of many ways to enjoy this attraction is the popular and sensational Maid of the Mist boat tour. At the beginning of this boat tour you’re provided with a rain poncho and wait in line for the double-decker boat. From there your journey begins and the boat ferries you to the base of the falls where you can enjoy the refreshing mist of the waterfall blowing through the air. But be prepared to get a good soaking as the boat disappears under the many rapid showers of the falls!

A unique and incredibly memorable way to experience Niagara Falls is the illumination show. Projected across the three waterfalls that form Niagara Falls every night of the year, you can experience the vibrantly lit up multi-coloured water at dusk.

Banff National Park and town

When you’re in the mood to get in touch with nature, go for a hike and enjoy some peaceful scenery during a day off, the place to be is Banff National Park. You can take in the view of gorgeous reflective blue waters and mountains that tower over you, forming a magical and fantastic skyline to enjoy to no end.

In the small but thriving town of Banff there is much to experience including a range of viewpoints, hot springs, galleries and restaurants. The town has a history going back thousands of years that you can learn more about by visiting any one of the museums that hold a range of artefacts and information about the culture around you.

If you’re looking to do some work during a day out, sit in one of the independent coffee shops where you can look out at the mountains in the distance as you complete your work.

Old Quebec

Interested in small medieval style towns with stunning historic buildings and cobble stoned streets? Old Quebec is the perfect place for you! Known for its culture, heritage and art, Old Quebec also has some of the oldest architecture in North America.

Roam the streets and enjoy the experiences Old Quebec has to offer from the varieties of wine vineyards to the Montmorency Falls where you can get in touch with nature.

The New Grand Market is a brilliant way to discover all the flavours and foods where you can indulge in freshly baked bread, traditional chocolates and newly picked meats and seafood.

If classes or activities are something you’re looking for, this market is the perfect place for a lesson in learning how to make traditional goods from Quebec!
