GATE ATTENDANTS/ TICKET SCANNER / ACCESS CONTROL
Requirements:
● Minimum age of 18 years.
● Fluent in English speaking
● Strong customer service and communication skills.
● Ability to stand for long periods and work in outdoor conditions.
● Punctual, reliable, and professional at all times.
● Confident in handling large crowds and giving clear directions.
● Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage queues efficiently.
● Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and
public holidays during the event period.
● Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
● Must adhere to event dress code and safety protocols.
● Previous event, security, or crowd control experience is an advantage (not essential).
● LOCATION: Australia, DARWIN
Duties:
● Greet guests, staff, and VIPs in a friendly and professional manner at entry and exit
points.
● Check tickets, passes, or credentials to ensure valid entry.
● Direct patrons to appropriate entrances, exits, and event areas.
● Monitor and control the flow of foot traffic to avoid congestion.
● Respond to guest queries and provide general event information.
● Maintain crowd control and ensure a safe and orderly environment.
● Report any suspicious behaviour or safety concerns to security or supervisors.
● Assist with managing queues and ensuring patrons follow event policies.
● Support emergency procedures if needed (e.g. evacuation guidance).
● Maintain cleanliness and organisation at the gate area throughout the shift.
● Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors via radio or in-person.
● Remain alert and presentable at all times while on duty.
