Can I apply for USA Work & Travel?
It is not possible to apply for the J-1 Visa independently, it requires to be done through a US approved organisation. The location of your university is important rather than your country of citizenship.
Eligibility
- You must be between 18 to 30 years old
- Any nationality studying in the UK/Ireland
- Enrolled in a full time academic day course in a recognised university or college.
- Commit to the full summer season of the J1 employer (8-21 weeks from June to August
- Have a passport valid for six months beyond your stay
- Have a onward flight
- Have proof of supporting funds of USD 800 in the form of bank statement
