Tier 2 Sponsorship License
The Tier 2 Sponsorship License allows UK companies and employers to sponsor non-EU nationals to work in the UK. In this ever-changing climate, it’s hard to keep up with the constant changes in the UK immigration laws.

Sponsorship occurs on a point-based system, and to sponsor an individual under this, your company must hold a sponsorship license.
Without the license, you cannot employ someone from outside the EU, transfer existing employees, or extend an existing work visa.
Once the Sponsorship License is granted, it allows you to make an application under the Tier 2 general and hire workers. You will be required to understand the duties and responsibilities expected of you as a sponsor.

This sponsorship license is granted for a duration of four years. If you wish to continue sponsoring your worker, then you must apply for an extension. This could mean that your business will have to undergo another audit as the application will be sent to the Home Office.
