How long can you stay?

You can stay as long as the date given in the certificate of sponsor plus 14 days or 5 years, whichever is shorter.
You can extend your stay or apply for another visa as many times as you want for the maximum limit given for a senior or specialist worker visa.
The maximum total stay for a senior or specialist worker visa is:
Can stay 5 years in any 6 years if one is paid less than £73,900.
Can stay 9 years in any 10 years if one is paid £73,900 a year or more.

What you can do and cannot:

Can:
Work with your sponsored employer
Study
Bring your spouse and children as your dependents.
Travel abroad and return to the UK
Can do voluntary work.

Cannot:
Apply for permanent citizenship
Do a second job
Apply for benefits. Public funds.
Change of jobs, unless you are eligible.

Your partner and children:

Your dependent partner and children can apply to join you or to stay in the UK if they are eligible. Their tenure will end on the same date as yours, which is given in the certificate of sponsorship.
Partner:
Must be able to prove a civil partnership or marriage that is recognized in the UK
You have been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years.
Children:
Must be 16 or over
Who lives with you
Not married, or in a civil partnership, or doesn’t have his own children
Should be financially supported by you.
